The Long Lunch Is Back!

You may have noticed weve been playing extra nice lately, running supportive, encouraging stories instead of being bitchy and mean. Its not that weve run out of mean things to say, (will we ever?) but we want everyone to feel inclined to contribute and we didnt think the possibility of severe ridicule was really encouraging that. Besides, were saving our most insightful and challenging observations for our upcoming awards feature... Yes, it's true, be afraid, be very afraid.

In the meantime, we have an AdTown exclusive - a sneak peak at the latest anti-binge drinking campaign. As the exclusive pictures below reveal, the campaign was a joint effort between some of Adelaides top agency and production people who went out and got completely hammered at the recent Sea & Vines Festival all in the name of research.

OK, if you believe that, youll bloody believe anything guys. Hell, you might even believe its worthwhile upgrading your membership to paid status so go and do that now will you all please? Otherwise, the true story behind the pics is that Oasis Post and Spirit Films joined forces to host a bounty of Producers and Creatives from the Adelaide agency powerhouses of kwp!, Clemenger BBDO and Jamshop. (Presumably the AdTown invite was lost in the mail..? Bastards.) Even casting guru Angela Heesom got a guernsey, and all she did was win the AADCs top award for contribution to the industry!

Anyway, the get together, where were assured no-one cracked the governments more than four drinks and its a binge limit (which is a bit like the more than three shakes and its a wank rule - ridiculous, unrealistic and no fun at all) took place in the gardens of the popular Pennys Hill Winery. We werent there cause we werent invited (did we mention that?) so we cant be entirely certain, but it appears a good time was had by all. Long Live the Long Lunch!
