New Website Really Delivers

Weve always tried to be pretty fair here at AdTown. But like birds, were rather attracted to bright, shiny things. So we tend to spend a fair bit of time on the colorful, fun, creative stuff, and treat the rest of it a bit like a pap smear - you know, we just do it when we have to. So today were going to take a little deviation down the production path but with very good reason. Well, two very good reasons to be perfectly honest. Firstly, Adstream have just launched their fancy arse new website and theres some very cool things about it we really wanted to fill you in on and we just know youll kick yourself if youre not in the loop. And secondly, as you may have noticed by the very sexy new banner on our home page, theyve coughed up for an ad so the least we can do is say nice things about them.

The good news is, after having a quick tour of the Adstream set up, it was pretty easy to find plenty of nice things to say about them. In fact, not since Dolly and Kenny teamed up for one of our faves Islands in the Stream have we been so excited about anything with the word stream in the title. But first, a confession: we always thought Adstream just sent ads. And thats definitely a part of what they do. But its how they do it, and what else they do thats the really cool bit. Thankfully were not the only drongos going around, because as SAs Senior Account Manager Julie Walker says A lot of people in Adelaide see us as the last port of call and just use one service. So they might just use us for Quickcut or sending their TV or radio. I dont think a lot of clients actually realise the amount of different products we have. This new website shows what we actually do.

Now, were not going to go into the Nth detail about everythig they do here cause thatd be far too heavy for our little site (and brains) but what we can tell you is this: In addition to their excellent 'send an ad' stuff, they have a campaign management product called Project Bank that sounds pretty darn nifty too. And its probably a big part of what Australian Marketing Manager Chantal Brodrick is referring to when she says One of the most significant things Adstream has brought to this industry is time efficiency and cost efficiency. Weve actually got a tool that takes us from the original concept that sits with the brand owner and spans right through to their creative and media agencies through to final media. So its an incredibly unique product that actually involves multiple people throughout the campaign process. It certainly sounds like the sort of thing that might come in handy if you want help managing your workflow and hey, if thats more than you need right now and you just want to send some ads, you could still do a lot worse than to have a lovely little chat to them about why theyre the best people to send them for you.

The new Adstream website itself is what they call a one stop shop for all your TV, print, radio and workflow solutions and was created by Steam Motion and Sound. Thankfully the demo videos on there will do a way better job of explaining what theyre up to than we ever could so perhaps its best you check them out. We should also say while the previous site wasnt anywhere near as funky as the new one, it obviously worked just fine with a lazy five million hits a year! And thats unique visitors folks so yeah, wed say thats a fair few happy customers making Adstream the worlds largest digital asset management and distribution company for ad agencies. So if they say they can help streamline your business were inclined to believe them. 205,000 TV, 41,000 radio and 750,000 press ads happily handled in 2007 says were not the only ones who seem to think so. The truth is, weve only just scratched the bright, shiny surface of whats already there, and a little birdy tells us there's a few more tricks on the way, so well definitely be digging a little deeper (and sucking up a little harder) and telling you more about them all in good time.
