Client Tells Agency To Get Funked

Wed love to say were above the kind of simple humour that relies on low grade profanity. Especially now we've buddied up with The Independent Weekly, we'll be doing our best to keep things of a certain standard. Including avoiding making any 'Funking' jokes no matter how Funking tempting they are.

Having recently picked up the Shiels and Grahams accounts, the team over at LA Advertising have hardly been resting on their diamond encrusted 24 carat laurels. Presumably, theyve been working so hard lately they ducked into the local Funk coffee shop for a bit of a break and end up walking out with their account as well. Funk is a local chain of coffee shops here in Adelaide and according to LA General Manager Roger Delaney, they came to LA to give their brand a bit of a boost and make sure the Funk name was well established across Adelaide.

At this stage the resulting campaign, based around the you wont be able to stop thinking about Funk theme consists of radio and bus shelters and there may well be other executions roll out in the near future. From what we hear, while the client is thrilled with the new campaign, it definitely wasnt the first campaign presented with some more risque work going close to getting the green light.

The radio was produced by Matt McKenzie-Smith, and having heard the spots we reckon they're bound to raise some conservative Adelaide eyebrows, so we can only imagine just how risque the original work was. Whatever the case, with the word 'Funk' featuring what can only be described as 'prominently' throughout the radio spots, were pretty sure that frothy stuff from the top of those fancy coffees wont be the only thing on the lips of Adelaide coffee drinkers.
